In the years I have been supporting birth, the journey to achieving physiological birth has changed a lot and the need for the right support now is greater than ever before.

It is wonderful that there are so many options now for birth support, but it can be quite overwhelming knowing who to choose and why.

I hope that after you learn more about me through my website that it will give you an insight on how I can support you and whether we are a good fit for the birth you envision.

A note from Dee to you

Doula ~ “to serve” and to “mother the mother”.

It is the epitome of my why; to be of service holding space for families on their birthing journey. As an independent birthworker I provide emotional, practical & physical support for you and your family during your childbearing year.

With many years experience in bodywork and movement therapy I give you the best support before, during and after the birth of your precious little one.

I understand that each family is different and I can adapt to your needs. In the many births I have attended, I have offered continuous emotional and physical support during long & sometimes extremely intense situations. My resolve to support and nurture families through their birth did not waver in these times, which has given me amazing insight and experience to bring to you and your birth.

I assure you that I will stay by your side for as long as you need me; holding your hand, massaging your back or just breathing with you. This includes advocating for you if you do not know what to do next. If you are looking for some extra support no matter whether you are choosing to birth at home, freely, or in a Hospital/Birth Centre, then this could be what you have been searching for.
